- 3 tbsp bread crumbs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cups butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
What To Do
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees and coat a bunt pan with cooking spray and dust with bottom and sides with the bread crumbs.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl, stirring well with a whisk.
- In a large bowl beat the butter at medium speed until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add brown sugar and Vanilla to butter until well blended.
- Add 1 egg at a time to the sugar mixture, beating well after each addition.
- Add the flour mix to sugar mix alternately with milk, beating at low speed and making sure to begin and end with the flour mixture.
- Spoon your batter into prepared bunt pan and smooth the top of the batter with a spatula to even out.
- Bake for 1 hour and 5 minutes and cool on wire rack for 10 minutes before taking the pound cake out of the bunt pan to finish cooling on a wire rack.
